About Us

In 1916, a group of Mason County farmers joined together in a cooperative venture to form an organization to promote agriculture on the local, state, and national levels. Today, through the efforts of those farmers, the Mason County Farm Bureau® still thrives, with over a century of service to our members.

Mason County Farm Bureau® is a not-for-profit membership organization dedicated to educating community leaders, legislators, consumers, and schools about agriculture. The organization strives to enhance opportunities to our members for improving their farm and businesses.

Mason County Farm Bureau® feels it is important to help promote agriculture throughout the county. The Mason County Farm Bureau® does this by donating time, resources, and money to local organizations, groups, and events that promote agriculture.

Mason County Farm Bureau® is affiliated with the Illinois Farm Bureau®.

2026 Goals

     1. Fulfill and maintain voting member quota requirements
2. Strengthen and expand the Agriculture in the Classroom program
3. Build and sustain effective relationships with local, state, and federal political representatives
4. Advance the growth of the Multi County Young Leader Committee, with emphasis on engaging FFA and 4-H members
5. Encourage and support youth in exploring agricultural and vocational opportunities within the county
